LECTURE AT THE ŠABAC GRAMMAR SCHOOL ON THE THIRD DAY OF THE EMW

The activities within the European Money Week were continued on 14 March 2018, when the representatives of the Association of Serbian Banks held a lecture for the students of the Šabac Grammar School on the significance of personal finance management.

"When we say financial literacy, we mean the knowledge of the basic economic concepts’ characteristics, the risk of financial products, and the possession of skills to make independent financial decisions that will be sustainable not only for us as individuals, but for our family as well," said Dr Slađana Sredojević, ASB Special Advisor for International Cooperation, Financial Markets and Education, and Head of the ASB Bank Training Centre.

The lecture was attended by Nebojša Zelenović, Mayor of Šabac, who pointed out that the education of young people is a very important job worth being dedicated to. The whole event had excellent media coverage.

This was also an opportunity to announce the European Money Quiz that one philological classroom from the Šabac Grammar School applied for. In the national competition, on 16 March 2018, the students from 77 classrooms from 51 schools across Serbia will compete in their knowledge of financial concepts.
