On 22 and 23 March 2018, the Association of Serbian Banks hosted the Executive Board, Board of Directors and Membership Meetings of the European Banking and Financial Services Training Association (EBTN), an association based in Brussels, whose full member the ASB has been since 2008. The event was attended by the representatives of banking institutes from 25 countries, including the Frankfurt School of Management and Finance, the European Banking Federation from Brussels, the Chartered Banker Institute of Scotland, the Association of Banks in Lebanon, Centre de Formation de la Profession Bancaire from France, etc.

The Membership Meeting was held on 23 March 2018, under the working title “The Role of Institutes, Education and Training in Digital Challenges”. At the very beginning, the guests were greeted by Dr Veroljub Dugalić, ASB Secretary General, and the moderator of the meeting was Dr Slađana Sredojević, ASB Special Advisor and Head of the ASB Bank Training Centre, who is also Vice President of EBTN and Chair of the Financial Literacy Committee of this association. The meeting was an opportunity to exchange experiences and present examples of successful projects in this field, including the digital transformation of the FEFA Faculty from Serbia, the activities on the creation of the European certificate in the field of anti-money laundering and terrorism financing by CFPB France, the bank management simulation project of the Hungarian Institute for Training and Consulting in Banking, the role of training and education in the digital era from the point of view of the European Banking Federation, etc.
