After that, Predrag Ćatić, Legal Operations Specialist, gave a presentation of the internal organisation and modus operandi of the ASB, and Dr Milan Brković, Specialist for Cooperation with International Financial Institutions and Head of the ASB Credit Bureau, presented the ASB Credit Bureau, as one of the most significant and most successful projects of the Association of Serbian Banks. Dr Sladjana Sredojević, Specialist for International Cooperation, Financial Markets and Education and Head of the ASB Bank Training Centre, spoke about the activities, projects and plans in the mentioned segments. The guests from Algeria showed particular interest in the concept and functioning of the Credit Bureau as well as the possibilities for future cooperation in the field of financial education.

The meeting was concluded with the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the two associations, which was also attended by HE Mr Abdelhamid Chebchoub, Ambassador of Algeria in Serbia. He emphasised that the excellent political relations between the two countries should certainly be accompanied by excellent economic relations, expressing satisfaction with the signing of this agreement, which, in his words, represents the first step in the further development of mutual cooperation in the field of banking.

On the second day of the visit, September 13th, the Association of Serbian Banks organised a meeting of the Algerian delegation with the banks, with the aim of improving business cooperation in terms of trade finance and facilitating operations of the banking sectors of Algeria and Serbia. The meeting, attended by the representatives of the following banks: Banca Intesa a.d. Belgrade, UniCredit Bank a.d. Belgrade, Postal Savings Bank a.d. Belgrade, Mirabank a.d. Belgrade, Jubmes bank a.d. Belgrade, Srpska banka a.d. Belgrade and Eurobank a.d. The meeting also saw the exchange of information and conclusions on the relevant legal regulations in Algeria, which will facilitate the operation of banking institutions from Algeria and Serbia in the future.

In the part of the program that was not related to work meetings, during their three-day stay, the guests from Algeria had the opportunity to visit the Museum of Nikola Tesla, Skadarlija and the Museum of the National Bank of Serbia, as well as to experience Belgrade from an open bus tour and a guided walk through Kalemegdan. They kindly thanked their hosts for the warm reception and especially for the introduction to not only the banking sector of Serbia, but also Belgrade, saying that they would return home with the most beautiful impressions of Serbia.
