The competition in developing solutions on the topic of "a crowdfunding platform" took place at the Belgrade Banking Academy, from 13-15 November, when seven selected teams worked out their ideas in more detail.
On the last day, the competitors presented their highly functional solutions to an expert jury, composed of experts from the Belgrade Banking Academy, Komercijalna Banka and the Association of Serbian Banks. The expert jury selected three teams, ranked their solutions and declared the winning team of this year's crowdfunding hackathon.
"We supported the iNOVACiJA hackathon because it unites several goals of the Association of Serbian Banks. Firstly, we have supported innovative, digital solutions, which is a long-term goal of the ASB and the entire banking sector. Additionally, in this way we promote the development of entrepreneurship, the application of domestic knowledge and intelligence, which will bring significant benefits to our entire community," said Vladimir Vasić, Secretary General of the Association of Serbian Banks.
Crowdfunding is a way of raising funds to support new projects. By using the strength of the community, the creators of good solutions can relatively easily and quickly market their ideas. The main goal of this platform is to serve as a kind of digital mediator between innovators on the one hand - and a large number of small investors on the other hand, and thus ensure the realisation of valuable ideas.
This alternative type of financing contributes to the creation of new jobs, faster employment of young people, wider application of new technologies, affirmation of the "economy that works for people" and the general well-being of society.
