The Association of Serbian Banks organised a two-day advanced seminar under the name “International Trade Finance Operations“, held at the Association’s premises on 6 – 7 February 2020. This seminar was intended both for banking experts and for importers, exporters, transporters and lawyers. It provided the participants a detailed overview of the latest issue of Incoterms 2020, the recent developments on the global scene and the practices from working with letters of credit and guarantees.

The lecturer, Mr Pavel Andrle, Secretary to the Banking Commission of ICC Czech Republic, presented the new revision of the ICC rules for international trade, the implementation of UCP 600 and ISBP 754, documentary credits, the document examination process, banking guarantees and the implementation of URDG 758 in practice.

The topic of the first day of the seminar was a thorough analysis of the new Incoterms rules for the current year, while the workshop programme for the second day left more room for discussion, examples from practice and case studies.
