Ana Mandić, a student at Belgrade's "Duško Radović" Elementary School, and Simeon Čonjagić, a student at "Stana Milanović" Secondary School of Economics from Šabac are the winners of the national European Money Quiz, which was held on 17 March, and organised by the Association of Serbian Banks.
Despite being held on the second day of the official state of emergency in Serbia, the Quiz has been successfully organised thanks to being hosted on the digital platform Kahoot! More than 200 eighth grade elementary school students and first grade high school students from all over Serbia participated in the competition via their home devices.
"Congratulations to all students and teachers for their participation in the Quiz and the results they have achieved! Although a state of emergency is currently in force in Serbia, the success of this competition, as well as the number of participants, show that we in Serbia have succeeded in getting young people interested in finances", said Mr Vladimir Vasić, Secretary General of the Association. "In this regard, we will continue with activities fostering financial education and financial literacy, not only for the younger population, but also for other target groups."
Students who have won first and second place have qualified for the European Finals of the Quiz and will have the opportunity to compete with students from all over Europe for a valuable cash prize, at the end of April, in a competition which will also be held online.
