The award "Captain Miša Anastasijević" was presented today to the ASB Secretary General, Mr Vladimir Vasić, in the premises of the Chamber of Commerce, for his contribution to the digitalisation of the banking sector. This award, as part of the project "Road to the Top", has been awarded to successful individuals and teams for twenty years, as organised by the company Media Invent, the Regional Public Service Broadcasting Institution Radio-Television of Vojvodina and the Universities of Belgrade and Novi Sad.
Vladimir Vasić, who has been leading the Association since the beginning of 2019, has made a great contribution to the improvement of the banking sector in Serbia, the promotion of digitalisation in banking and new services for citizens and the economy. He also played an important role in solving the long-standing problem of loans indexed in Swiss francs. During the emergency situation and the crisis caused by Covid-19, the Association of Serbian Banks, headed by Vasić, was one of the most active institutions in providing support to citizens and the economy, through informing about the adopted measures, changed working regimes of the banks, the moratorium on obligations and the guarantee scheme.
"I accept this recognition as an assessment of the work of the Association of Serbian Banks, an important institution that will celebrate 100 years of existence next year. Also, I see it as a recognition of the entire ASB team, without which good results would not be possible. Our mission is to improve the banking system of Serbia and to raise the financial literacy of citizens, and those will be the key activities of the Association in the following year, when we will celebrate the great jubilee," said Vasić at the award ceremony.
