Komercijalna banka, the Belgrade Banking Academy and the Association of Serbian Banks invite you to compete in designing solutions for a crowdfunding digital platform! Register your teams by 2nd November!
What is a crowdfunding digital platform?
The main goal of this platform is to serve as a kind of digital mediator between innovators on the one hand - and a large number of small investors on the other, and thus ensure the market capitalisation of valuable ideas.
What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a financing method adapted to raise funds to support new projects. Using the strength of the community, the creators of good solutions can relatively easily and quickly market their ideas.
The initial capital for the implementation of innovative projects is provided on the basis of creative online campaigns that aim to attract investors (so-called backers) from all parts of the world interested in financially supporting the idea.
This alternative form of financing contributes to the creation of new jobs, faster employment of young people, wider implementation of new technologies, affirmation of the “economy that works for the people” principle and the general well-being of society.
Crowdfunding hackathon rules?
This hackathon will be realised in two phases. IN THE FIRST PHASE, individuals and teams (up to five members) will compete in the incubation and presentation of solutions at the level of a low fidelity prototype digital platform. The time provided for the presentation is 10 minutes.
After the selection of the best solutions - IN THE SECOND PHASE, a 48-hour competition in creating a high fidelity prototype digital platform will be organized, in the IT centre of the Belgrade Banking Academy.
Competitors (individuals or teams) who win first, second and third place will be awarded in the amount of RSD 150,000 (first place), RSD 100,000 (second place) and RSD 50,000 (third place).
The winners of the KomBank & BBA & ASB hackathon will also become the first members of the crowdfunding incubator and will receive complete support for their further market performance.
The jury in charge of ranking the ideas presented at this competition includes experts in the field of banking and information technology from Komercijalna banka, the Belgrade Banking Academy and the Association of Serbian Banks.
Who has the right to participate?
Persons between the ages of 18 and 28 have the right to participate, regardless of their formal education.
Employees of companies that are partners of the project and persons who are in permanent employment or are otherwise employed by legal entities of the project partners are not entitled to participate in the competition.
